International Women’s Day 2019, 16th Annual “The Dinner Party” Event
The Women of Halton Action Movement (WHAM) began hosting The Dinner Party in honor of International Women’s Day (IWD) in 2003.
The Dinner Party is now a gathering of over 600 people coming together to shine a light on important issues related to gender equality. It is an entertaining, informative, fun, and affordable evening in celebration of IWD.

Roberta Jamieson
Roberta L. Jamieson, OC is a Canadian lawyer and First Nations activist. She was the first Indigenous woman ever to earn a law degree in Canada, the first non-Parliamentarian to be appointed an ex officio member of a House of Commons committee, and the first woman appointed as Ontario Ombudsman.
