Lean In, Stand Up: Learning Male Allyship Conference

Men have a plethora of ways to stop violence including gender-based violence whenever it occurs. The Male Ally Network (M.A.N) was created on that exact premise.  M.A.N understands the need for men to unlearn the toxic ideologies of manhood, understand that he has inherent privilege, use that privilege to become an active bystander and male ally and to help end gender based violence.

To ensure that message and ideology of M.A.N is proliferated we will be hosting a Male Ally Conference, which is themed “Lean In, Stand Up: Learning Male Allyship”.

 At the Conference, we will

•      Discuss the various causational issues surrounding gender-based violence and identify possible solutions
•     Work towards unlearning the toxic ideologies of masculinity
•      Learn the importance of being male allies
•      Understanding Male Allyship from an indigenous perspective
